Aayuni Farmstay
A mud & boulder house with pool, among mango groves — 60 km from Bangalore
₹12,000/per night
About the Property
Get away from it all. Just 60 km from Bangalore, Aayuni Farmstay is a one-of-a-kind mud and boulder house nestled among mango, neem, areca, and flowering trees on land that unfolds across five natural levels. Owned by an analyst and architect couple, every detail of this property reflects a free-flow rustic design philosophy — thoughtful, unhurried, and deeply rooted in the land it sits on.
The house is built with stabilised earth blocks made from excavated earth on-site, and boulders from the land itself form the foundation and landscaping. The ground floor has a patio, open kitchen, reading room, and toilet. Upstairs, three bedrooms with two bathrooms open onto huge windows that frame views of the surrounding hills and an areca nut plantation to the north. From sunrise to sunset you can hear sunbirds, babblers, and parrots — and expect morning visits by peacocks.
A fresh water lap pool sits within the property, perfect for cooling off on warm afternoons. Bonfires and BBQ are available on request. An in-house cook can arrange breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the menu shared right after booking. Two caretakers are on-site to help with anything you need. Nearby, the shrub forests and monolithic boulders of Magadi await — with trekking at Savanadurga and Huliyurudurga just 15–20 km away.

What to Expect

Birdsong from Sunrise
Mornings at Aayuni are alive with sunbirds, babblers, parrots, and kingfishers. Pull open the bedroom windows overlooking the hills, listen to the forest wake up, and watch for the peacocks that visit the property most mornings.

Evenings by the Bonfire
As the sun drops behind the Magadi hills, gather around the bonfire on the farm. Bonfires and BBQ are available on request — the perfect end to a day of doing very little, very well.

Trek Savanadurga & Beyond
Just 15–20 km away, Savanadurga — one of India's largest monolithic rocks — offers a half-day trek through shrub forest and fort ruins. Huliyurudurga, the "inverted bowl" hill, is another nearby adventure worth waking up early for.

“Brought 8 friends for a long weekend — everyone was blown away. The bonfire, the pool, the open skies... it doesn't get better than this near Bangalore. Highly recommended for group trips.”
